| This post...is dedicated to those individuals who on this day did not receive a valentine. what does it mean after all? this holiday, according to the legend, it was that St. Valentine was sentenced to death by a Roman emperor for breaking the marriage laws, and while spending time in prison, fell in love with the jailor's blind daughter... legend has it that he restored her sight with unwavering love and faith, and just before execution, he slipped her a final farewell note: "from your Valentine." And so, the symbol of the Valentine's card, became universal for the symbol of love. (repost from last year's valentine's day post. now on facebook) |
